A look back at 2025: Jiwya goes global with 100% Plant-Based fashion
Share
At Jiwya, 2025 was a year of many firsts. From debuting plant-based luxury on the global stage to making our mark at fashion capitals, we had a beautiful, milestone-rich year. As we close 2025, we would like to take a look back, share gratitude with you all and reflect on how our roots have traveled far, all while staying true to our values as we did in 2024.
Strengthening our plant-based commitment towards the planet
In 2025, Jiwya became an official partner of the UN Fashion and Lifestyle Network, strengthening our alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This partnership marks an important step in amplifying responsible fashion practices that nurture the planet and empower people.
We also released our first Lifecycle Assessment and Social Impact Report, independently verified by third-party experts — a milestone that reflects our dedication to transparency and accountability.
We became a signatory to the Total Ethics Manifesto by Collective Fashion Justice as a business that puts the life and wellbeing of people, animals and the planet before profits and champions sustainable luxury.
Our efforts were recognised by several credible sustainability experts and industry voices that champion conscious fashion. From activists who voice for sustainable fashion, to industry leaders who champion for change, to journalists who ensure transparency in the industry, Jiwya was encouraged and appreciated by people who have been the most influential champions for the planet.

From stages that talk sustainability to places like COP30, from magazines that talk style, to artists that bring cheer to the world. We spotted some beautiful faces #injiwya across 8 countries!
As always, our plant-based journey is marked with measurable results. Through mindful yarn and fabric creations, closed loop designing, hyperlocal production, and our vertically integrated atelier, we have collectively:
-
Saved 4,771,520 litres of Water
-
Conserved 21,164 kWh of Electricity
-
Prevented 5,291 kg of Plastic
-
Abated 7,695 kg eq. of CO₂ Emission
Each piece of Jiwya continues to prove that ethical fashion can be both glamourous and responsible — to the environment, makers, artisans, and our future generations.
A year of firsts
As we went on with our mission, along the way, we saw some firsts. And as the saying goes, they truly were special!

We unveiled our first art installation, a one-of-a-kind piece of decor that embodies the spirit of the unique architecture studio, designed on the very theme of light and earth. We also designed our first made-to-order 100% plant-based bridal creation for a vegan bride, bringing together five heritage arts of India in our fabrics, handmade in 500 hours.

And finally, we held our first barefoot runway walk at the London Fashion Week, embracing the rawness and humility of being one with the earth and soil.
Decolonising Fashion at the London Fashion Week
2025 marked our global runway debut with ‘Katidha’, our SS 2026 collection at London Fashion Week, introducing 100% plant-based fashion extravagance to the world. Aishwarya Lahariya, our co-founder and designer, walked the ramp carrying a powerful collage — every face, every hand, every person working with Jiwya from yarn to garment.

Strengthening our commitment to decolonise fashion, we also took a stand by participating in the global #StopWasteColonialism movement. We openly disclosed our production volumes and reaffirmed our stance as a brand that works in a completely zero-waste, closed loop system.
From Nashik to the world – with our first funding round fueling plant-based fashion
A key milestone for us this year was the launch of the Jiwya Atelier in Nashik, a space where luxury meets plant-based innovation. Our atelier is a space where your pieces come to life from the yarn to the fabric, fabric to detailing, handwork to the finished piece, a space built of light and love and all natural materials.

From this home base, our pieces then journeyed to global fashion capitals — Dubai, Berlin, Paris, and New York City — through our first-ever international store partnerships.
As the global community started cherishing Jiwya’s plant-based fashion, we raised our first funding round of $350,000 this year to scale our regenerative practices and expand our global footprint — reaffirming the belief that purpose-driven brands can thrive.
As we step into 2026, we carry forward our vision of reimagining luxury through compassion, community, and craft all with our 100% Plant-Based lens. See you in 2026 to grow with love for the people, planet and animals!
