The Gulmohar Colour-Block Shirt and Straight Pant set is a sterling outfit for a brunch date or an outing on a spring day. The cream base is made of rainfed Khadi, and the diverging, asymmetric brick red abstract work is Batik hand-block print on Kala Cotton. This look is an invitation to walk in the present, hand-in-hand with both the past and the future. The criss-crossed structure of the shirt is nothing if not charismatic. This is a unisex fit.
The entire piece is handspun, hand-woven, and dyed with plant-colours, giving it the rare look of raw extravagance. It's limited edition couture, made only on order.
2. Kala cotton is a variety of dry farm cotton that grows in drought prone and pesticide free areas only.
3. The brown Batik used wax to resist in hand-block printing and 95% of it recycled for future use.
